Mr. Richards has resided in Garden Grove for many years and was wll known to our townspepople as a man of quiet, unassuming ways, a good citizen and a loyal adherent to the cause for which he fought, and in which he received injury.

The Funeral services were Thursday in the Free Methodist Church, Elder L.M. Kob conducting a very impressive service. The bereaved families, the wife and children are accorded the sincere sympathy of all. Mr. Richards when in New York was a member of the old school Presbyterian Church but on coming to this stated united with the Advent Church at Woodland. All the children were present during his illness and all but Charles of Des Moines and David of Newton were in attendance at the funeral.

The sorrowing ones are deeply grateful to their many friends and neighbors for their sympathy and assistance in this hour of affliction and appreciate the kindly motives which prompted their thoughtfulness at this time.
