Death of Mrs. Daisy McCutcheon.
Daisy Stanley McCutcheon, daugh-
ter of David and Sarilda Stanley was
born near Decatur City, Iowa, Jan.
10, 1880 and died at her home in
Leon, Sept. 27, 1912 at the age of
32 years, 8 months and 17 days. At
the age of eight years she moved
with her parents to a farm near
Pleasanton, Iowa. In the fall of
1899 she moved to Leon where she
resided until her death. On Oct.
1, 1902 she was married to Stanford
McCutcheon. To this union was
born one son, Leo, now nine years
old. Deceased was taken very ill
about four weeks ago, and every-
thing that loving hands could do
was done to relieve her, but she
gradually grew worse until Friday
morning at two thirty when she
passed peacefully away. She leaves
to mourn her departure, a little son,
above mentioned, two sisters, Mrs.
Matt Pullen, of Leon, Iowa, and Mrs.
Ike Fisher of Decatur City and also
two brothers, E. H. Stanley of Col-
umbus, Neb., and Frank Stanley of
Leon, besides a large number of
other relatives and friends.
The funeral services were held at
the residence on Church street Sun-
day afternoon at two o'clock con-
ducted by Rev. J. S. Coffin, pastor
of the Christian church. A large
number of people gathered to pay
their last tribute of respect and a
long procession followed the re-
mains to their last resting place,
at Palestine cemetery.
