______________
George W. Wells, one of the oldest residents of this county, dropped dead Tuesday morning on the railroad track near the home of his son, Jink Wells, near DeKalb. Mr. Wells had been complaining for several weeks, but when he arose Tuesday morning remarked that he felt better than for some time. After eating breakfast, he started to a field to do some work, but had only gone a short distance down the railroad track when he fell dead. He was carried to the home of his son, and Dr. H. C. Bone, of Grand River, summoned, and after an examination he pronounced teh cause of his death to be water on his heart. His funeral will probably be held today if relatives who have been summoned can reach here by that time.
[Interment was made at Munyon Cemetery near Grand River.]
