MRS. SYLVIA KNAPP

Mrs. Sylvia F. Knapp, 77, died yesterday at 4 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Nina Frazier, 437 Conger street, with whom she had made her home the past five years. She was born Oct. 31, 1847 in DeKalb county, Indiana, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.C. Mudgett.

In 1853 decedent came to Jones county Ia., with her parents. They resided there until 1860, then removed to Decatur county, High Point township. She was married March 29, 1866 to Thomas J. Knapp at Leon, Ia. The husband died July 4, 1914. After residing is Council Bluffs several years she came to this city.

Surviving are a daugher and four sons. Mrs. Frazier, J.C. and V.C. Knapp, Waterloo; W.J. and R. G. Kanpp, Vancouver, Wash. A brother, Fred Mudgett, resides at Mercer, Mo. Six grandchildren are also living.

Pending arrangements for services, the body is at O'Keefe & Towne funeral home. [Interment made at Garden Grove Cemetery, Garden Grove, Iowa.]
