October 15, 1942 ~ November 22, 2007Audrey Joan Foust, age 65, the daughter of Delbert Otis and Ruth Alice (Stockman) Fuller, was born October 15th 1942 at Brighton, Iowa. She died at her home near Garden Grove, Iowa on November 22nd, 2007.
Audrey married Ernest Ronald (Ron) Foust on October 19th 1957 at the United Methodist Church in Winterset, Iowa. Four children blessed this union, Ernest, Jr., Julie, Shelby, and Rodger. The family made many moves before settling near Garden Grove in 1968. Audrey found the perfect job for her was driving a school bus for the Mormon Trail School District. She was the "bus mom" it became her way of life for 28 years. She loved kids and enjoyed driving them, giving them things, and watching them grow up. She had many second generation children on her route. She touched many lives and enjoyed hearing from them over the years.
Audrey enjoyed photography. She liked photographing family and friends, but mostly the bus kids. She took pictures of them in kindergarden and gave the photo to them at graduation. She was a member of Garden Grove Red Hat Ladies.
Preceding her in death was her father and parents-in-law.
Survivors include her husband Ron Foust of Garden Grove; children: Ernie Foust of Des Moines, Iowa; Julie McClelland (Jim) of Johnston, Iowa; Shelby (John) Neel of Des Moines, Iowa; and Rodger Foust of Racine, Wisconsin; grandchildren Nick and Annie May, Denver, and Dakota McClelland; John, Jeff, Jenna, and Jackson Neel; Clinton Casteel; and Brittany Liemer; Brothers: Rod Fuller (Reggie) and Sid Fuller, all of Des Moines, nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa at 2 p.m. Monday, November 26th, 2007 with Brad Funk officiating. [Interment was made at Garden Grove Cemetery, Garden Grove, Iowa.]
