Obituary ~ Rhoda A. (Hensley) Daniel
November 09, 1842 ~ September 02, 1898

Rhoda A. Hensley was born in Virginia, November 9, 1842. In 1845 she removed with her parents to Pulaski, Ky., and in 1850 to Putnam County, Ind. In 1853 her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.K. Hensley, moved to a farm a few miles west of this place. There the subject of this sketch continued to live until she was married, in 1865, to Thos. R. Daniels (sic).

In 1873 Mr. and Mrs. Daniels moved to Garden Grove and have ever since made this their home. To them have been born six children -- four sons and two daughters, all of whom are living except one son.

Mrs. Daniels (sic) united with the Presbyterian Church, July 1, 1894, and had ever since lived a consistent Christian life. She died September 2, 1898, aged 56 years, 8 months and 23 days.

The funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church, Saturday at 4 o'clock, conducted by her Pastor, Rev. J.Q. Hall. [Interment was made at Garden Grove Cemetery, Garden Grove, Iowa.]

Mrs. Daniels (sic) was of a retiring disposition, and was not known to everyone, but enjoyed the esteem of all who knew her.
