Obituary ~ Lizzie N. (Reece) Coleman
September 16, 1899 ~ December 17, 1978

LIZZIE N. REECE COLEMAN, youngest daughter of WILLIAM and MARY REECE, was born Sept. 16, 1899 at Beason, Ill., and died at the Leon Care Center, Leon, Iowa, Dec. 17, 1978, age 89 years, 3 months and 1 day.

She was united in marriage to JOHN H. COLEMAN Jan. 2, 1912 at Creston, Iowa. To this union two sons were born: RALPH of Arizona and EARNEST, Leon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband JOHN; three brothers: TOM, OSCAR, and GILBERT; daughter-in-law, ANNA MARIE COLEMAN.

Survivors include two children, RALPH and EARENST and wife MARIE; four grandchildren: DALE COLEMAN and wife BEVERLY Hendrick, Iowa; MARIANNA BOLIN and husband DORN, Farson, Iowa; Dr. LYLE COLEMAN and LUCY, Owatonna, Minn.; TERESA GEWINNER and husband BERNARD, Garden Grove; three step-grandchildren: DEAN MCVEY and MICHAEL MCVEY and wife CHERYL, Osceola, Iowa; and MONTY MCVEY and wife MARY, Leon; three sisters-in-law: JESSIE GLADE and husband WALTER, Creston, Iowa; MELISSA CLINTON, Des Moines, Iowa: and PEARL COLEMAN, Chadwick, Mo.; brother-in-law GEOREGE COLEMEN, Longview, Texas; 12 great grandchildren; nephews, nieces and cousins and friends.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Rebekah and White Shrine Lodges, all of Creston.

LIZZIE, with husband JOHN were engaged in farming in Adair County until 1935, they moved to Creston and made their home until July, 1974, moving to Leon Care Center, Leon.
