Obituary ~ Lillie May (Fierce) Corsbie
July 02, 1891 ~ September 01, 1983

LILLIE MAY CORSBIE, daughter of JOHN C. and EMMA MCCLINTOCK FIERCE, was born July 2, 1891 in Franklin Township, Decatur County, Iowa and died at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa Sept. 1, 1983, age 93 years, 1 month and 30 days.

On August 12, 1914 she was united in marriage to IVAN SHERMAN CORSBIE of Weldon, Iowa.

To this union 4 children were born; MAMIE LORAINE CRAIG, MILDRED DORENA ADAMS, MABLE EMELINE HORNEY, and JOHN MERLY CROSBIE.

She was born and lived her life on the family farm 2 ½ miles southeast of Van Wert except for the last 4 months spent at the Leon Care Center where she made many friends.

She was baptized at an early age and joined the Van Wert United Methodist Church where she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters; two half-brothers; and one son-in-law.

She is survived by her four children and sons-in-law, EMMETT CRAIG, BERNARD ADAMS, and JAMES HORNN; and daughter-in-law, PATRICIA CORSBIE; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made at Van Wert Cemetery, Van Wert, Iowa.]
