November 03, 1939 ~ September 27, 1996Vivian Marie Griffin Baker, the daughter of Clarence and Gladys Griffin, was born in Pleasanton, Decatur County, Iowa, on November 03, 1939, and died September 27, 1996, at her home in Chicago, Illinois. She was 57.
Vivian grew up on her parents farm near Pleasanton. She went to rural schools in the area and later went to high school in Leon, Iowa. Vivian found employment in Chicago and continued to work there almost 40 years. In the meantime she married Richard Baker, and to this union two sons were born, William and John.
She is survived by her sons William Baker and his wife, Sandy, John Baker and wife Joy; her father Clarence Griffin; and brother James Griffin.
Vivian was preceded in death by her mother Gladys Griffin.
