Obituary ~ Minnie Florence (Evans) Keller Blair
December 13, 1887 ~ February 12, 1981

MINNIE FLORENCE, daughter of ARMSTRONG and FANNIE WESTFALL EVANS, was born Dec. 13, 1887 near Galesburg, Ill., and died at the Decatur County Hospital, Leon, Iowa, Feb. 12, 1981, age 93 years.

Her family moved to Decatur County when MINNIE was four years old.

She was married to FRANK O. KELLER in 1907 and five sons were born to this union. They lived in and around LeRoy, Iowa. FRANK died in 1942.

On Oct. 2, 1946, she married HARRY JAMES BLAIR and they farmed south of Van Wert. After HARRY’s death in 1966 she made her home in Garden Grove, before moving to the Leon Care Center. She represented the Leon Care Center in the Iowa Ms. Nursing Home Pageant in 1978.

MINNIE was a member of the United Church of Garden Grove and the Garden Grove Garden Club.

Preceding her in death were husbands; parents; two sons; CLAUDIE, who died in infancy, and JOHN KELLER; brother, BERT EVANS; sister, CORA HORNEY; half brothers and sisters; and step-daughter, FRANCIS FITZPATRICK.

Survivors include three sons; WILBUR “BILL” KELLER and wife HELEN, Ankeny, Iowa; DEAN KELLER and wife ELVA MAE, Humeston; and RAYMOND KELLER and wife KIT, Blacksburg, Va.; daughter-in-law, BETHEL KELLER, Raytown, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two step-children; PHILIP BLAIR, Cheyenne, Wyo.; and DORIS HARRIS, Leon; other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made in Garden Grove Cemetery, Garden Grove, Iowa.]
