Obituary ~ Cora Beatrice (Hembry) Bennett
February 10, 1897 ~ August 6, 1983

CORA BEATRICE BENNETT, daughter of FRED and JESSIE (KELLY) HEMBRY, was born in Decatur County, Iowa on Feb. 10, 1897, and died at the Clark County Hospital on Aug. 6, 1983, age 86 years.

On Aug. 13, 1914 she was married to IRA BENNETT. To this union were born seven children: four daughters: JUNE ROSE BRYAN of San Gabriel, Ca., DOROTHY FULLERTON, Edmonds, Wa., JEAN HIGDON, Princeton, Mo., and FRANCES SIEFKAS, Murray, Iowa; one son PAUL, who preceded his mother in death on Feb. 11, 1983.

CORA was a member of the First Baptist Church of Leon. She has resided in Leon since the mid 1940’s. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband IRA, two infant sons and son, PAUL.

Surviving are her four daughters; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; four sisters: PRUDENCE KASER, Arcadia, Ca; PAULINE GREENHALGH, Denver, Co.; MARJOIRE MCCLURE, Leon, Iowa; and OPAL SHULTZ, Seaside, Or.; 3 brothers: CLYDE HENBRY, Leon; LEONARD HEMBRY, Osceola; and LEO HEMBRY, Van Wert, Iowa; other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made in Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.]
