Mrs. EDNA SMITH BAYEN, only daughter of WILLIAM R. and EDNA SMITH, of this city, died at her own home in Joplin, March 14, lacking but a few months of being 25 years old. She leaves a heart broken husband, father, mother and brother, besides a host of sympathizing friends to mourn her untimely death. Mrs. JOHN ALLBAUGH of Leon, Iowa an aunt of the deceased was present during the last week of her illness. The floral offerings from friends, both in this city and Joplin were surpassingly beautiful. A car well filled with friends went over from this city yesterday morning, where the funeral was preached by Rev. W. T. HARKER, assisted by Rev. TURNER, pastor of the Christian church at Joplin – Webb City, (Mo,) exchange.
