August 28, 1894 ~ July 31, 1983KENNETH KEMPTON BARTLETT was born January 21, 1909 at Garden Grove, Iowa to CLARENCE P. and ARVILLE MCFARLAND BARTLETT and passed away at the Decatur County Hospital, Leon, Iowa, January 2, 1978 at the age of 68 years.
He graduated from Garden Grove High School and Drake University, receiving his B. S. degree from Simpson, Drake and Oklahoma University.
Most of his life was devoted to education. Prior to his retirement, he taught in the Central Decatur High School at Leon and served as principal. He held member affiliation with the National Retired Teachers Association, and life membership in the Iowa State Education Association and also the National Education Association.
He was a member of the Rotary and Lions Club. Kay helped in the Urban Development projects. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Garden Grove, Iowa.
[Interment was made at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Davis City, Iowa.]
