Obituary ~ Raymond M. Barnett
October 8, 1917 ~ April 26, 1983

RAYMOND MARTIN BARNETT, son of JOHN LESLIE and NANCY ELLEN MARTIN BARNETT, was born in Blythedale, Mo. Oct. 8, 1917, and died April 26, 1983 at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, age 65 years, 6 months, and 18 days.

He moved to Iowa at an early age and lived around Leon, Iowa until he entered in the Army in 1942. After his discharge from the service he moved to a farm in Wayne County.

He was united in marriage to ALDA MARIE BEERS January 28, 1945. To this union were born three daughters and one son. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his widow, ALDA, three daughters: TWYLA EVANS and husband DWAINE of Derby, Iowa; LINDA CAMPBELL and husband ED, Garden Grove, Iowa; CLEVA JOHANNES and husband DENNIS, Ames, Iowa; and son RICKIE at home; 13 grandchildren: PARTICK, KINBERLY, JULIE, and BILLY EVANS, KEVIN and JOHN CAMPBELL, SHARON, BREND, and PAM CARLSON, JEFF, TOD, BRETT, and MICHAEL JOHANNES; RALPH and wife LOIS, Bull Shoals, Ark.; JOHN and wife RUBY, Osceola, Iowa; and GEORGE of California; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.]
