GEORGE E. ARNEY was born May 13, 1888 in Leon, Iowa, son of Mr. and Mrs. JACOB B. ARNEY, and died Feb. 17 in Ardmore, Okla., hospital, age 90.
He was married to FAYE EVANS, Dec 25. 1913 in Leon. He owned a Firestone tire store in Osceola, Iowa, where he was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, I. O. O. F., and charter member of the Osceola Lions Club. He moved to Oklahoma City, and then to Ardmore, Okla., 16 year ago.
Surviving are widow, FAYE, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. EARL (MAURINE) JENKINS, Ardmore; Mrs. LOWELL (EVELYN) BOEHMEL, Plano, Texas; four granddaughters; nine great grandchildren; and one great–great grandchild.
NOTE: George Elbert Arney died in 1979. Myrta "Fay" (Evans) Arney, his wife, was born in 1891, and died in 1981. They were interred at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore, Oklahoma. ~ SRB
