Alfred Stanley Bowman was born in Decatur County Sept. 4, 1858, and died Dec. 26, 1930 at Leon, Iowa.

Alfred was the oldest son George and Katherine Bowman. He was united in marriage to Alice M. Davis on Nov. 22, 1899.

He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, one brother, Harrison, one uncle, John Bowman, all of Leon and one niece, Mrs. Roy Mitchell of Lamoni, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Stewart Funeral Home on Dec. 28, conducted by Geo. R. Lamb, pastor of the Pentecostal church, interment being in the Leon Cemetery.
