Leon, Decatur County, IowaJames Harley Alldredge was the eldest son of Bazil Davis Alldredge and Sarah Alldredge. He was born Oct. 6, 1874, at Lola, Clay County, Illinois. He died Feb. 18 at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa. He came to Decatur County in 1901 and was married November 9, 1903 to Laura Housh of Leon who with her daughter Lillian, age 14, was left to mourn his departure. One son, Reginald, departed this life October 19, 1918, at the age of thirteen years and six months.
Besides his wife and daughter, he leaves to mourn his departure four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Daisy Bayne of Luton, Iowa; Mrs. Edith Hunting of Hartwick, Iowa; William Alldredge of Bronson, Iowa; Frank Alldredge of Raton, New Mexico; Mrs. Grace Craig, Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Dale Alldredge of Berkley, California. Two sisters, Lydia Ann and Madge Lillian, died in childhood.
[Interment was made at Leon Cemetery, Leon, Iowa.
