MRS. BEULAH RUMLEY DIED SUDDENLY AT HOME

Mrs. BEULAH MILDRED RUMLEY, 48, of Leon, who and been ill for a few days, died suddenly at her home in Leon November 12. Funeral services conducted by the Rev. GEORGE LAMB, were held at the Stewart Funeral Home at 2:00 p. m. Monday with interment in the Leon cemetery. She leaves four daughters, IMOGENE ALBERTA, BONNIE RUMLEY, and Mrs. MAXINE OWENS of Leon. Nov. 18th 1948.

OBITUARY

BEULAH MILDRED HUBBARD daughter of DAVID H. and SUSIE J. HUBBARD, was born in Eden township, Decatur county, Iowa, July 27th, 1900, and departed this life November 12, 1948, at about 9 a. m. at her home in Leon, Iowa, at the age of 48 years, 3 months and 16 days.

She was untied in marriage to CHARLES WALTER RUNLEY, March 5, 1919 by Rev. RONK, pastor of the Brethren church. To this union six children were born. Two of her children, GLOSSEN and DOROTHEY PAULINE, a granddaughter, LOIS JEAN OWENS, her father, and mother, two sisters and three brothers have preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her departure our children, Mrs. MAXINE OWENS, IMOGENE, ALBERTA, and BONNIE RUMLEY of the home, a son-in-law, RUSSELL OWENS, two grandchildren, ELEANOR and LARRY, two sisters, Mrs. ANNA REINER, of Garden Grove, Mrs. LULU VEITHS of Alcaster, South Dakota, four brothers, ANDREW HUBBARD, of Wichita, Kansas, HERBERT, WILLIAM and CLARENCE HUBBARD of Leon, her former husband, and a dear friend LAWRENCE BASSETT, and a large number of nieces and nephews and other relatives, and a host o friends.

BEULAH was a kind and loving mother, and a constant companion to her girls, and working hard, doing everything in her power to give them a good home and education.

Her illness was of short duration; she was taken sick on Monday and passed away on Friday. All that kind and loving hands could do was done for her, one daughter ALBERTA and LAWRENCE BASSETT were at her bedside at the time of her passing.

Funeral service was held at the Stewart Funeral Home, November 15, conducted by Rev. GEORGE R. LAMB. Interment was in the Leon cemetery.
