DIED--At his home in Richland Township, Nov.
23, l894, WILLIAM MCKEE.
Brother MCKEE was born in McKinggdon County,
Ohio, March 20, l832, came
to Iowa in l853. He was one of the pioneer
settlers of this state. He
loved home, was a kind father and made home
pleasant. About two weeks
before his death, he became a Christian and
died triumphant in the
faith.

Oh called not death t'is life begun!
For the waters are past and home is one.

Standing by the dock of a foreign seaport
watching the ship leave, I saw
a great company weeping for their children,
children weeping for their
parents. To what port is she bound? And they
say to America the land of
the free. Then why should you weep when you
can cross the sea and be
with them. And again I come to the great
waters of death. On the
shores of time a great company is weeping.
Parents weeping for
children; and children weeping for parents.
Why do you weep for those,
who have left on the good old ship of Zion.
They have gone to a land of
plenty and we can go to them. Funeral
conducted by Rev. J.J. Burris,
assisted by Rev. McCracken.
