Last evening at 5 o'clock, occurred the death
of MRS. ELIZABETH EBERT,
wife of REV. O. EBERT, at her home on North
Walnut Street. MRS. EBERT
had been comparatively well and death came
very suddenly, either of
heart trouble of paralysis of the brain. She
arose yesterday morning as
usual, not feeling the best but thought
nothing serious of it. Later in
the morning she again took to her bed and
gradually grew worse until
death came.

MRS. EBERT was born in Ashland County, Ohio,
March 2, l837, which made
her fifty-seven years, eight months and
seventeen days old at the time
of her death. A loving husband and three
daughters survive her.

MR. EBERT was in Corning at the time and was
telegraphed but arrived too
late to see his wife alive. The three
daughters, MRS. HAWLEY, of Paw
Paw, Michigan, who happened to be visiting
here, MRS. T.F. GILCREST and
MRS. JOHN LEDGERWOOD, of this city, were at
her bedside when she passed
away. She was a devout Christian woman,
being a member of the Christian
Church, and her spirit has taken its flight
to that bright shore
beyond. The funeral services will be held at
the family home tomorrow
afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev.
Swartz. Interment will occur
at Graceland.
