DIED--In Terre Haute, Decatur County, Iowa,
Nov. l2, l894, of
consumption, MR. CHARLES W. SHAFFNER, aged 25
years, 5 months and l2
days. MR. SHAFFNER was born in Decatur
County, Iowa, May 30, l869, and
spent his whole life in this county. He had
been sick for some time,
and took to his bed about two weeks before
his death. To his friends he
said that he was accepted of the Lord, and
was ready to go at the Lord's
will. Services were conducted at the school
house in Terre Haute,
Tuesday, Nov. l3th at l0 o'clock a.m. by Rev.
Geo. E. Mitchell in the
presence of a large congregation, after which
his remains were laid away
in the cemetery near Terre Haute to await the
end of time.
