Ira F. Price, youngest child of Ebinizer and Sarah Price was born March 31, 1872 in Decatur County, Iowa, and departed this life February 10, 1959 at Decatur County Hospital being at the time of his death 86 years, 10 months and 10 days of age.

On December 11, 1892, he was united in marriage to Isa Mae Roberts who was his constant companion and was with him until his death.

To this union were born three children, the eldest, a son Donald J. Price of San Diego, Calif; a daughter Gladys Binning of Leon, the youngest son Clair, who preceded him in death November 3, 1911 at the age of 10 years.

He resided all of his life in Decatur County, Iowa with the exception of seven years spent in Oklahoma where he homesteaded a claim in the opening of the Cherokee Strip.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, two children; daughter-in-law Helen Price; son-in-law Vern Binning; two grandsons, Edmond Ira Price and wife Dorothy of San Diego and Floyd Vernon Binning and wife Glendola of Van Wert, and Ira Edmond Price of San Diego.

One half-brother and wife Edith of Klome, S. D.; a brother-in-law Bert Roberts and wife Jessie of Fairview, Oklahoma, also a host of nephews and nieces and friends he made in his long life. He was a kind loving husband and father, and a good friend.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Keith Mothersead in the Slade funeral home Friday, February 13, 1959 at two o'clock. Burial was in the Van Wert cemetery.

Fern and Christie Mallatt sang, " I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone," and "Beyond The Sunset," accompanied by Mrs. Velma Eilts.
