DEATH NOTICE:

(The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa January 4, 2012)

BRAMER, Kenneth Alen, 59, of Osceola, Iowa, died on Thursday, January 5, 2012, at Legacy Lodge Circle of Life Hospice in Chariton, Iowa. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Iowa. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Osceola, Iowa.

Memorials may be directed to his family for a memorial to be decided later.

KENNETH ALLEN BRAMMER ... Kenneth Allen Brammer, son of Kenneth Wade Brammer and Beulah [Comer] Brammer, was born June 18, 1952 in Nebraska City, Nebraska. He passed away January 5, 2012 at Legacy Lodge Circle of Life Hospice in Chariton, Iowa at age 59.

Kenny graduated from Murray High School in 1971. In 1972, he married Nila Miller, and to this union two children, Brenda and Weston, were born. In 2002, he married Rhonda Redman Brandhorst. He was a member of Osceola full Gospel Church.

Kenny worked for HyVee for 21 years. During that time, he was involved in farming and raising livestock; he liked John Deere tractors. Through the years, he enjoyed pool, basketball, softball, camping, fishing, hunting and bowling. In later years, he added golf to his many interests. For the past 14 years, he owned and operated The Alley Bowl; he was also involved in other bowling facilities as part owner and was a repair / installation technician. Bowling was not just a job to Kenny; it was his passion. He was always there to offer his input to others to improve their game. He was instrumental in getting kids interested in bowling and was involved in starting the High School Bowling Program.

Kenny was preceded in death by his father in 1996; and an infant sister, Vicky May Brammer in 1949.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rhonda of Osceola; daughter, Brenda Brammer of Woodburn; son, Weston Brammer of Fort Dodge; step-children, Adam (Shane) Brandhorst of Orlando, FL, Autumn (Luke) Ricker stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Alex Brandhorst Stationed at Cherry Point, NC; grandchildren, Alexa and Elayna Irving of Woodburn and Jaden and Deacon Brammer of Leon; mother, Beulah Brammer of Murray; siblings, Kathy (Ed) Adcock of Osceola, Karen Stowers of Leon, Keith (Diana) Brammer of Murray, Karla (Mike) Yearington of Osceola, Kendall (Rose) Brammer of Osceola, Kim (Jodi) Brammer of Murray; mother-in-law, Jean Toney; father-in-law, Norman Redman of Osceola; brothers-in-law, Rodney (Beth) Redman of Osceola, Randy (Pam) Redman of Adel, Darron Toney of Osceola; sisters-in-law, Ramona (Jon) Redman of St. Charles, Robin (Aaron) smith of Osceola; other family members and a host of friends.
