DEATH NOTICE:

(The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa February 22, 2012)

EASTON, Connie, 60, of Weldon, Iowa, died on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Weldon Christian Church. Interment will be held at a later date.

CONNIE EASTON ... Connie Sue was born to Florence and Norman Brammer on October 10, 1951 in Clarke County, Iowa. She passed away at her home (as she wanted) in Weldon, Iowa on February 11, 2012 after a lengthy battle with Cancer.

After graduating from Clarke Community High School in 1969 she attended Iowa School of Beauty in Des Moines graduating in September 1970. She married Arthur Easton of Leon, Iowa on New Years Eve, 1970 in Clarke County, Iowa. They spent the entire 41 years of their marriage in and around Weldon. They were blessed with four daughters, Tonya, Samantha, Kelli and Kadee.

Connie was a devoted wife and mother. she loved children, large and small. She was a Little League Coach for several years. She was a huge part of making and running the games for the Annual Kids Day Celebration for many years. She was a member of the Firemen's Auxiliary helping fix and serve many meals. She was also a City Council member. Connie was a member of the Weldon Christian Church.

She loved spending time with her family and friends, cooking big meals on Sundays and holidays. She loved gardening, canning, quilting, mushroom hunting, bird watching, reading and especially "Oscar" their dog.

She was preceded in death by infant daughter Samantha Sue in 1982, grandparents Carl and Edith Golden McWilliams, Aunts Grace and Lois McWilliams, Raymond and Fern Grey Brammer.

Connie is survived by loving husband, Art; daughters Tonya (Tim) Hatfield of Leon, Kelli Easton of Weldon, Kadee Easton and fiance Dustin Thompson and daughter Morgan of Leon; and grandchildren Kayla Hatfield (Shad Hay) of Fort Madison, Iowa; Cody Brandon and Coltin Hatfield of Leon. Connie was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her 6th grandchild, a little girl to be named Ruby Sue Thompson.

Other survivors are parents Norman and Florence Brammer; brother Carl Brammer (Janet) and their children: Ricky James, Randy Lee, Rusty Allen and Melissa Ann; in-laws Shirley Pyle, Lois Cannon (Gene), Charles Easton(Joyce), Dale Easton (Cheryl), all of Leon, and Robert Norris of Humeston, Kaye Easton of Kellerton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruby Chumbley of Weldon, who she loved like a sister.

Memorial services will be held February 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Weldon Christian Church. burial of the cremains will be at a later date.
