DEATH NOTICE:

BLANKENSHIP, Roger Dale, 64, of Osceola, Iowa died on Monday, January 16, 2012 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola. Memorial services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2012 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with Rev. Ruth Ann Jones officiating.

ROGER DALE BLANKENSHIP ... Roger Dale Blankenship, son of Simon B. Blankenship and Alice Justice [White] Blankenship was born August 4, 1947 in Richwood, West Virginia and passed from this life Monday, January 16, 2012 at Clarke County Hospital in Osceola, Iowa at age 64.

Roger grew up in West Virginia. He moved to Alaska in 1976. He was a manager for Western Sheet Metal in Anchorage, Alaska and had lived and worked in Alaska for many years.

Roger was united in marriage to Donna McWilliams on September 7, 1984 in Wasilla, Alaska, they moved to Osceola in 2000.

Roger loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, shooting, snow machines and four wheeling. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and gardening. He was a member of the NRA.

Those relatives who preceded Roger in death were his parents and brothers, Murphy and Charles Blankenship.

Roger leaves to cherish his memory; wife, Donna Blankenship of Osceola; son, Lonnie Falke of Osceola; daughter, Cora (Micheal) Turner of Alvarado, TX; daughter, Tahra Blankenship of Philadelphia, PA; brother-in-law, Perry McWilliams of Osceola; nephew, Allen (Gina) Blankenship Jr. of Elkton, MD; two grandchildren, Sane and Emily Turner and one great granddaughter, Lilly Cochran all of Alvarado, TX; as well as other relatives and many friends.
