BOLES, Marguerite, 83, formerly of Grand River, Iowa, died Monday, June 9, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa.

Memorial to be directed to either Mercy Hospice in Johnston or American Cancer Society.

MARGUERITE BOLES ... Marguerite Boles, 83, passed from this life on Monday, June 9, 2008 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Mass of the Christian Burial was held at 10a.m. on Friday, June 13 at Sacred heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines, of which she was a member. Committal services took place at 2 p.m. on Friday, at Wheelis Cemetery, north of Grand River, Iowa. Iles Funeral Homes - Westover Chapel in Des Moines was in charge of arrangements.

Marguerite was born on January 20, 1925 in Carney, Iowa to Anthony and Nellie Francis Hague Mehalovich. She married Harold B. Boles on February 13, 1945 and they made their home in Des Moines. Marguerite was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She raised her children and day-cared her grandchildren for many years. leaving fond memories with them as well as her many nieces and nephews of pleasant days spent at Grandma's and Aunt "Pete's".

She is survived by her four children, Harold L. (Linda) Boles of Eden Prairie, MN, Steven E. (Barb) Boles of Des Moines, Cheryl A. (Ross) Wootan of Albany, OR and Gary M. (Mary) Mehalovich of Johnston and Tony (Molly) Mehalovich of Ankeny; two sisters, Rose Philippi of Waite Park, MN and Mary Jackson of Grimes; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Marguerite was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and brothers and sisters.
