“Services Held For Mrs. Hall Friday”

“Services were held from the Webster funeral home this afternoon for Mrs. Ida Lena hall, 80-year-old Clarke county native, who died at her home here Monday.

Mrs. Hall, who was born on a farm in this county, was married in 1917 to Charles E. Hall. They had no children.

Survivors include a sister, Lura Anders; a brother, O. M. Elliott; nephews, nieces and other relatives.

Rev. David Mathews was in charge of services and burial in Green Bay cemetery.”

“Mrs. Ida Lena Hall”

“Ida Lena, daughter of Jefferson and Susanna Yates Elliott, was born on December 29, 1873 in Clarke county at her residence in Osceola at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 15 days.

She was educated in the public schools of Clarke county.

On November 22, 1919 she was united in marriage to Charles E. Hall at Osceola. She was a member of the Four “D” club.

Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her father and mother, husband, a sister, Retta Hidy, and a nephew, Lloyd Hidy.

Surviving relatives are: one sister, Mrs. Lura Anders; one brother O. M. Elliott, and two nieces, Mrs. Twyla Persels and Mrs. Leila Evans, all of Osceola, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Webster Funeral home Thursday, June 17 at 2:30 p.m., with The Rev. David E. Mathews, pastor of the Community Bible church, officiating. Interment was in Green Bay cemetery.”

(The Obituary for Ida Lena (Elliott) Hall is being included in the Decatur County obituaries because during her early married years she lived on Hall homestead just north of Van Wert.)
