CHIPP, Earl, 68, of Osceola, Iowa, died on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2011, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Iowa. Interment followed at the Murray Cemetery, Murray, Iowa.

EARL CHIPP ... Earl Dean Chipp, son of Thomas Urman Chipp and Vera Lucille [Fullerton] Chipp was born January 27, 1943 in Osceola, Iowa and passed from this life September 14, 2011 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa at 68 years of age.

Earl received his education in Clarke County, graduating from Osceola High School in1961. A lifetime resident of Clarke County, he was a farmer, welder, and raised cattle. He also worked at Eagle Iron Works for several years and did bulldozer work. However, Earl's passion was repairing equipment and fixing something that didn't work. Earl was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie # 3495 in Osceola. He enjoyed playing pool and belonged to a local pool league. He also liked to dance.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Gene Chipp; sister, Merna Louise Chipp; and niece, Deanna Chipp.

He leaves to cherish his memory: son, John (Lisa) Chipp of Osceola; daughters, Jodi (Mark) Smith of Leon, and Jill (Todd) Jackson of Creston; grandchildren, John Chipp, Jr., Lacey Chipp, Lindsey Chipp - all of Osceola, Bailie Smith of Leon; nephews, Darren (Jeanene) Chipp and Daniel (Marge) Chipp - both of Latimer; niece, Deena (Neil) Swyers of Steelville, MO; other relatives and friends.
