DEATH NOTICE:

BINNING, Glendola, 84, of Osceola, Iowa, died on Tuesday August 30, 2011, at the Southern Hills Specialty Care Center in Osceola, Iowa. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment followed funeral services at the Van Wert Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Van Wert Community Center.

GLENDOLA BINNING ... Jessie Glendola Binning, age 84, daughter of Charles and Hattie Offield, was born February 26, 1927 in Wayne County, Iowa and died August 30, 2011 at the Southern Hills Specialty Care Center in Osceola, Iowa.

Glendola graduated from Leon High School in 1945 in Leon, Iowa. They lived on a farm south of Van Wert until 2007. They wee blessed with two sons, Mike and Mark.

In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, flowers, helping prepare funeral dinners at church and helping with reading classes at the Osceola School. She and Vernon enjoyed winters in Florida, Texas and Arizona and motorcycle trips. Glendola was a member of Osceola United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Glendola was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Harold and Gerald Offield.

She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, Vernon of Osceola; sons, Mike and wife Kyunga of Seoul, South Korea and Mark and wife Vickie of Osceola; grandchildren, Christine Baker and husband Mark of Ames, Lance Binning of Laurel, Maryland and Amanda Binning of Oregon; great grandchildren, Kenny, Max and Isaac Baker of Ames; other relatives and many friends.
