DEATH NOTICE:

KRITENBRINK, SR., Jeffery Todd, 46, of Grand River, Iowa, died on Saturday, May 21, 2011, in Grand River, Iowa. Cremation arrangements are through Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home of Leon, Iowa. A celebration of Todd's life will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at the home of Ardis and Jim Sullivan (100 W. 1st in Grand River). Friends may stop by between 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to his family at PO Box 415, Grand River, Iowa, 50108.

JEFFERY TODD KRITENBRINK, SR. ... Jeffery Todd Kritenbrink, Sr., age 46, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Grand River, Iowa. Todd died unexpectedly of a heart attack. He was born February 24, 1965 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Todd attended school in Des Moines, which included Grandview University and was currently taking class from the Colorado Technical University.

He worked as a grounds keeper for Beth El Jacob Synagogue in Des Moines for a number of years. Todd lived in Fairfield, Iowa from 1999 until July 2010. Todd loved spending time with his children. He enjoyed nature, music and good food.

He is survived by his children, Jeffery II, Erin, and Kory Kritenbrink of Grand River and his step-daughter Kaitlyn Marvin of Waterloo, and the children's mother Michell Rougers of Fairfield. In addition he will be greatly missed by his mother, Ardis Sullivan and step-father James Sullivan (Grand River), his sister Wendi Smith (St. Charles), brother Anthony Sullivan, Sr. (Des Moines), and many nieces and nephews. He leaves his cherished friends Gary Tinsley (Carroll) and David Riedel (Urbandale), who always called him "Oak," and Lisa Baker (Grimes).

His grandparents Herman "Red" and Marie Kritenbrink preceded Todd in death.
