DEATH NOTICE:

HULLINGER, Cora Patricia, 71, of West LaFayette, Indiana, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at her home. A Celebration of Patricia's life was held between 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the Duncan Community Hall, Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Patricia's memory may be directed to Purdue Theatre, care of the Purdue Foundation, 403 Wood Street, West Lafayette, IN 47907.

CORA PATRICIA HULLINGER ... Cora Patricia Hullinger, age 71 of West Lafayette, died unexpectedly at her home April 26, 2011. She was born April 19, 1940 in Osceola, IA to Elveta Glee [Greenhalgh] and Bert Binning. After graduating Leon High School, she was employed at the Administrative Offices of the Santa Fe Railroad in Chicago, IL. On July 18, 1959 she married Ronald Loral Hullinger in Leon, IA. Together they pursued a life associated with the university.

She completed classes at Iowa State University and Purdue University and was engaged in active learning throughout her lifetime, being an avid reader, traveler, conversationalist, and a student of piano.

She worked as the departmental secretary for the Department of Music and Department of Genetics at Iowa State; in library services at the West Lafayette Public Library; and at the Cornell University Library: for Irvine Travel in West Lafayette Senior High School; and as business manager for MacDonald Classified Services in Lafayette, prior to her retirement.

She was an active member of P.E.O., Chapter EM; the Fort-nightly Literary Club, scouting (Cub, Boy and Explorer), and for many years studied piano with teachers of the community.

She enjoyed running, mountain climbing, technical rock climbing, snow skiing, motorcycle touring with her husband, travel and gardening.

She is survived by husband Ron; three sons: David M. (wife Lori) Hullinger of West Lafayette, Thomas G. (wife Ruth) Hullinger of Boulder, CO, and John C. (wife Laurie) Hullinger of West Lafayette; six grandchildren: Jessica G., Dylan A., Sara R., Rikki A., Lindsey G., and Cora C.; brother Doyle (wife Norma) Binning of San Francisco, CA, sister Mary (husband Jack) Blair of Paonia, CO, sister Betty (husband Roger) Sebenik of boulder, CO, brother Frank (wife Joyce) Binning of Van Wert, IA; numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
