DEATH NOTICE:

KIPPER, DORIS MARGARET, 101, formerly of Humeston, Iowa, died on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at the Continental Care Center in Seymour, Iowa. Graveside Funeral Services were held at the Humeston Cemetery in Humeston, Iowa at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010. Burial was in the Humeston Cemetery. Arrangements were through the Slade-O'Donnell Funeral Home of Leon and Lamoni, Iowa. A memorial fund has been established by the family.

DORIS MARGARET KIPPER ... Doris Margaret Kipper, age 101, of Humeston, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Verna L. [Sponsler] Paugh, was born February 3, 1909 near Cambria, Iowa in Washington Township of Wayne County. She died at the Continental Care Center in Seymour, Iowa on Thursday, September 2, 2010.

Doris attended country schools in the area and graduated from Cambria High School in 1926. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Glenn "K.G." Kipper on April 3, 1927. A daughter, Harriett Jane, was born to this union on July 12, 1930. In March of 1938 a daughter, Margaret was adopted into the family.

When Harriett was christened in July of 1930, Doris joined the Humeston Methodist Church. With the exception of 16 years of residing in Arizona, Doris lived in the Cambria and Humeston area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband KG in 1999; daughter Margaret and husband Howard McCauley; brother Lloyd Paugh; and two cousins, Marvin and Kenneth Paugh, who were like brothers to her.

Survivors include her daughter Harriett Jennings and husband Robert of Corydon, Iowa; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 14 great, great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Maxine Yates and Glendene Paugh; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
