MARIE ELMORE Marie A. Elmore, 83, of Cainsville, died Thursday, June 5, 1980, at Lamoni, Iowa. Services were Saturday afternoon, June 7, at the Slade Funeral Home, Leon, Iowa, with the Rev. John Kukovich officiating. Burial was in Freedom Cemetery.

Mrs. Elmore was born Feb. 18, 1897, at Carrollton, to Thomas Edmond and Martha Anne Christy Cox. She was married Aug. 23, 1919, to Charles N. Elmore. Mrs. Elmore was a graduate of Northwest Missouri State College, Maryville, and taught schools in Missouri and Iowa.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Murray B. Elmore, Davenport, Iowa and C. Marvin Elmore, Cainsville; a daughter, Wilda E. Felter, Allerton, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley A. Perkins, and a grandchild.
