DEATH NOTICE:

DOOLITTLE, VESTA B., 85, of Des Moines, Iowa died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at her home. Funeral Services were at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, at Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was at Chapel Hill Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park Christian Church Building Fund.

VESTA DOOLITTLE ... Vesta Doolittle, 85, died on August 8, 2010 at her home.

Vesta was born on September 1, 1924, in Lamoni, to Harvey and Mabel Corll.

She married Clinton Doolittle in 1942. Together they had four children, Gary Doolittle, Jan Derrick and Rhonda Fisher. Their daughter, Dolores, died when she was ten days old.

Vesta was a homemaker for most of her life and was active at Highland Park Christian Church. Joining the congregation in 1991, Vesta served as Chairwoman of the Deaconess' for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton and three sisters. She is survived by her three children, brother, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
