HARVE EASTON DIES WHILE DOING CHORE ... Clay Township Man Drops Dead in Pasture as He Is Going to Hog Lot ... Harve Easton, about 70 years old, who lived north of Cainsville in Clay Township, dropped dead Thursday forenoon in a pasture at his home while he was walking to some pens to slop some hogs.

Coroner Joe E. Wheeler was called, and made an official report that Mr. Easton's death resulted from a cerebral hemorrhage.

Surviving Mr. Easton, who was widely known in that part of the county, are his wife, six sons and two daughters, Chalmer and Fred of Eagleville, Jesse of Blythedale, Roy and Floyd Easton, Garden Grove, Ia., Lawrence Easton, Conesville, Ia., Mrs. Floyd Chapman of Cainsville, and Mrs. Doshia O'Brien, Wood, S. D.

Funeral services for Mr. Easton were held Saturday at Akron, and burial was at the Easton Cemetery.

The family of Harve Easton have the deepest sympathy of a host of friends in his death, which occurred at the family home near Akron Thursday morning. The end came suddenly while he was about his farm duties and was found lying where he had fallen while on the way to care for his stock. Mr. Easton would have soon reached his 70th birthday, being born near Pleasanton, Ia., Jan. 13, 1869. He grew to manhood near this place and on Jan 12, 1890, was united in marriage to Miss Ella Seymour. To their union were born 10 children, two of whom Mollie and Virgil preceded him in death. Those surviving, with the companion are: Doshia (Mrs. B. H. O'Brian), Wood, S.D., Ophia (Mrs Floyd Chapman), Cainsville, Mo., Floyd and Roy, Garden Grove, Ia., Lawrence Conesville, Ia., Jesse, Blythedale, Mo., Fred and Chalmer, Eagleville. all these were present at the funeral services, which were held from the Akron Church, near his home, Saturday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by an old friend, The Rev. O. Dale of Pleasanton. Burial was in the Easton Cemetery. Beside the companion and children who mourn the loss of a good husband and father, he is survived by 25 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Nancy McCaul, Eagleville, Mrs. Sarah Wakefield, Vernon, Colo., three brothers, John, Ray, Colo. Stephen, Mercer, Mo., and Eliza, Colorado Springs, Colo. A fitting tribute will be prepared for later publication.
