LARRY EASTIN ... Larry LeRoy Eastin, son of Arthur and Agnes [Hildebrand] Eastin, was born in Mercer County on Nov. 24, 1934, and passed away on April 14, 1990, at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa, at the age of 55 years.

Larry was united in marriage to Georgia Nickell on Sept. 22, 1955. Georgia Survives him of the home in South Lineville, Mo. He is also survived by his three sons, Alan Eastin, of Ankeny, Iowa, Kirby Eastin, of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Curtis Eastin, of Lineville, Iowa: his daughter, Anita Stevenson, of Waterloo, Iowa; one grandson; three granddaughters; his mother, Agnes Eastin of Milan, Ill.; two brothers, Gary Eastin, of Aledo, Ill., and Dale Eastin, of Mercer; two sisters, Neva Lea Miller, of Orion, Ill., and Nina Collis, of Geneseo, Ill.; two daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; ten nephews, and a host of friends. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Eastin.

Larry was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Military Police in the Army. He was employed by Monfort Meat Packing Company of St. Joseph. He farmed for several years in Mercer County before joining Monfort Meat Packing. He had lived in the St. Joseph area for the past six years.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 18, 1990, at 1 p.m. at the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Chapel in Lineville with the Rev. Ron Helton officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery, northwest of Princeton, Mo.
