ESTHER EASTIN ... Mrs. Esther Dale Eastin, 79, of Mercer died July 15 at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Ia. Funeral services were held July 17 at the Slade Funeral Home in Leon with the Rev. Max Carmichael officiating. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery.

Survivors are her husband, Eanice O. Eastin, of the home; one son, Arthur Eastin, Milan, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Larason, Mercer; two half brothers, Elick Hawk, Corwith, Ia., and Boyd Hawk of the state of Washington and one half sister, May Parkhurst, Chillicothe.
