Bethany, Mo ... Eldon Higdon 95, a native of Modena, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001 Crestview Nursing Home in Bethany.

Funeral services were held Fri., Dec. 28 at Stoklasa Memorial Chapel in Cainsville, with burial in Fairview Cemetery at Cainsville.

Mr. Higdon, son of Russell and Minnie [Frisbie] Higdon, was born at Modena on March 8, 1906. He was graduate of Cainsville High School. He was a farmer, and he also taught in Cainsville School System. He was a member of Cainsville First Christian Church. He lived in Lamoni, Ia., for 30 years, and also lived in Davis City, Ia. and Gilman City, Mo.

He married Fay Crouse on Nov. 4, 1927 at Leon, Ia. She preceded him in death on Sept. 9, 2000.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and a son Russell Higdon.

Mr. Higdon is survived by two sons, Donald Higdon of Bethany and Rex Higdon of Lamoni, and two grandchildren.
