Obituary -

(The Leon Journal-Reporter Leon, Iowa April 28, 2010)

TREVOR RAY EASTON WASSON ... Trevor Ray Easton Wasson, the son of Johnny Edwin and Dawn Rogene [Keller] Easton, was born December 5, 1989 in Leon, Iowa. He passed away at the young age of 20 years, 4 months, and 8 days on April 13, 2010 in Lamoni, Iowa.

Trevor was a simple yet extremely complex, curious, and cantankerous young man. The day he was born he was anxiously greeted by his older brother, Travis, who after months of wondering what a baby brother was, asked "Is this my baby brother Doccy?" and with a poke of his big brother's finger, Doccy smiled. before being released from the hospital, the nurses and the staff were calling him Doc.

Trevor graduated from Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa in 2008. He loved drawing and animals, especially, dogs. He also loved to make people smile. Sometimes he could not remember how the joke quite went, so he made up his own version, which was usually funnier. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was so anxious for the Annual Keller Family Reunion, he would start asking when it was going to be held soon after Christmas. He was amazed at the size of the family and all the tents they camped in. He used to say the only shower that everyone got was to jump in the pond to wash the stink off and then he laughed because he said that was a lot of stink for such a small pond!

He carried the weight of the world upon his shoulders and he wanted to make the world the happiest place for all to enjoy with him. When someone did not want to share his enjoyment, he was more determined to make everyone see the good instead of the bad. He thought he had the strength of Sampson.

Preceding him in death were his father, Johnny; great grandparents, Keith and Flossie Smith, Fred Smith, Alice & Raymond Keller, Pete & Stella Wasson, and Phil & Marjorie Easton; aunt Arlene [Nichols] Easton; sister Bobbie Rae Wasson; cousins, Jessica Hendrickson and Robert Keller.

Survivors include his mother, Dawn Easton and partner Jim Nash of Lamoni; brother Travis Easton and Wife Samantha and Joe Wasson and wife Kalie, all of Leon; sisters, Tasha Drake of Mt. Ayr, Iowa and Stephanie Mathis of Leon; nephews, Damien and Hunter Easton; nieces; Gabrielle, Laken, and Carley; grandparents, Gary & Donna Keller of Decatur, Iowa and Charlie & Joyce Easton of Leon; special aunt and uncle, Chris & Deloris Phillips and Tim & Robin Wasson; companion and partner Peggy Waters and their unborn child of Lamoni; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends.
