HERMAN WILLIS Trenton, Mo. -- Herman Willis, 78, died Thursday morning at a Trenton hospital.

He was born near Waverly, Mo., and grew up in Wayne County, Iowa.

From 1932 to 1947, he farmed in Decatur County, Iowa. In 1947, he moved southeast of Trenton and continued to farm until retiring in 1971, and moving into the city of Trenton.

He was a member of the Trenton First Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Laura Willis of the home; a brother Kenneth Willis, Lee's Summit, Mo.; two sisters Moyle McCarty, Lineville, Iowa, and Justine Gannon, Leon, Iowa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Resthaven Mortuary Chapel at Trenton. Burial will be at the Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
