CELIA MARGARET WILLIS Mrs. Celia Margaret Willis, daughter of P. J. and Mary Ellen Hamilton was born Sept. 9, 1876 in Decatur County, Iowa and passed away May 12, 1955 in the family home at the age of 79 years, eight months and three days.

She was united in marriage to Ervin Willis on Feb. 24, 1895. to this union two children were born, a son, Virgil, preceding her in death April 12, 1921 and a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Velma) Aleander of near Cainsville. Maggie and Ervin spent 60 years of married life on the same farm where she passed away.

She united with the Presbyterian Church of Akron in 1912.

In passing she leaves to mourn her aged husband who cared for her so tenderly during her long illness, the daughter, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Delong, Davis City, Iowa and Mrs. Ulna Mossburg, Cainsville; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Where the best of earth grows brighter, and where ends all pain and strife

Where the Master stands with tender hands, Bidding us ever come

Where our loved ones wait with welcome warm, In our beautiful heavenly home

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, May 15, 1955, at 2 o'clock at Stoklasa Funeral Home, the Rev. Elba Dale officiating.

Mrs. O. J. Hrdlicka and Mrs. Helen Bauer, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Claud Phillips, sang "Beautiful Isle", "Going Down the Valley" and "There Will Be No Night There".

Pallbearers were Glen Price, Claude McClure, Clyde McClure, Cliff McClure, Theora Willis, and Wyley Willis.

Burial was in Akron Cemetery.

CARD OF THANKS We wish to express heartfelt thanks to our many friends, neighbors and relatives for their expressions of sympathy and kind deeds during the illness and at the death of our loved one; also our thanks to the minister for comforting words, those who furnished music, and to those who sent the beautiful floral tributes. -- Ervin Willis, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Alexander, and Grandchildren.
