VELMA HAGAN ... Mrs. Velma Maude Hagan, 71, of Princeton died unexpectedly Apr. 19 at her home. Funeral services were held May 21 at the Greenlee-Martin Chapel with the Rev. Peter Whittier officiating. Burial was in the Princeton Cemetery.

Mrs. Hagan was born Apr. 25, 1900 near Saline, a daughter of Forrest and Viola Hardy Butler. She was married June 27, 1918 to George Hagan who survives. She was a member of the Mercer County Garden Club.

Survivor's are her husband of the home; 2 sons, E. Dewey Hagan, Excelsior Springs, and Lloyd Hagan, Des Moines, Ia.; 2 brothers, Hubert Butler, Princeton, and Russell Butler, Salem, Oregon; a sister, Mrs. Zella Hagan, Leon, Ia.; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
