STELLA STARK ... Mercer - Stella M. Stark, 74, died at her home Tuesday, March 2, 1999, just six days after the death of her husband, Hearl Des Stark, on Feb. 24.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 4 at the Mercer Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Murle Martin officiating, under the direction of the Slater Funeral Home of Trenton, Mo. Burial was in the Middlepoint Cemetery, west of Mercer.

Mrs. Stark, the daughter of Joe and Mary Clark, was born in Princeton on Feb. 28, 1925, attended Princeton schools and lived in Mercer county most of her life. She married Hearl Stark in Princeton on June 30, 1952.

She is survived by five daughters, Sharon Catlett of Olkahoma City, Okla.; Naeomi McCullough of Lexington, Mo., Priscilla Henry of Mercer, Wanda Eckert of Laredo, Mo., and Mary Bunch of Ozark, Ala.; three sons, Jackie Stark of Oklahoma City, Okla., Harold Stark of Mercer and Joe Stark of Decatur, Ia.; three sisters, Barbara McKenna and nancy sparks, both of Princeton and Joanne Stark of Mercer; and by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; four sisters, Lucille Leonard, Emily Holloway, Eula Clark and Nellie Brassfield; four brothers, Thomas, William, Emmit and Lafayette Clark; two daughters, Delores Stark and Martha Clark; and one son, Robert Clark.
