RITES AT LEON FOR JOHNNY FLANAGAN ... Johnny Pious Flanagan, 72, of near Pleasanton died Aug. 3 at the Decatur County Hospital, Leon, Ia. Funeral services were held at St. Brendan's Catholic Church, Leon, Aug. 5. The Rev. John E. Cunningham officiated. A son of John and Annie Flanagan, he was a Mercer County farmer for many years and a member of St. Brendan's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maymie Flanagan, of the home; two sons, Harold Flanagan of Leon and Harley Flanagan of Cainsville; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth Dale of Pleasanton; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Brown of Cabool, Mo.; Mrs. Prudence Snethen of Davis City, Ia., and Mrs. Ella Edwards of the state of Washington.
