LOIS KIRKPATRICK (Decatur, IA) ... Lois Ola Kirkpatrick, daughter of John K. and Margaret Alexandra Dunn Griffin, was born October 10, 1900 in Mercer County and died at her home in Decatur, IA, on September 16, at the age of 92 years.

Lois was married to Orel Kirkpatrick on May 1, 1920 in Princeton. To this union one son, Clifford Neill was born. Lois and Orel were farmers in Decatur County, IA, and Mercer County.

She was an active member of the Decatur Methodist Church. Preceding Lois in death were her parents; one sister, Mona Robb; her husband Orel; and her son, Neill, who gave his life for his country in 1944 during World War II.

Survivors include brothers, Cecil Griffin and wife Gladys of Leon, IA, and Wallace Griffin and wife Doris of Bull Shoals, AR; sisters, Claire Koontz, Bull Shoals, AR, and Elvenore Bryant and husband Charles of Flippin, AR; nieces and nephews who cherished this special aunt and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 19, at 2:00 p.m., at Decatur United Methodist Church, Decatur, IA. Rev. Jeffrey W. Bowen officiated. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery in Mercer County.
