LOUISA CANENSMAN was born in Germany, April 15th, 1836, and died at the home
of her son, ROBERT BRAMMER, in Grand River, Jan. 31st, 1914, being 77 years,
9 months and 16 days old.

At the age of six years she came with her parents to America. The home for
a while was in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her father then moved to Jackson County,
Indiana. Here the deceased grew to womanhood and was united in marriage to
DANIEL BRAMMER in the year 1853. To this union were born five children,
three sons and two daughters, HARVEY, ROBERT and Mrs. EMILY TROWER, of Grand
River; Mrs. DORA FULLERTON, of South Dakota, and GEORGE, of Nebraska. The
family came to Decatur County in 1859, and settled on a farm near
Westerville. The deceased has lived in Grand River and vicinity ever since
the above date. In the year 1860, she embraced a good hope in Christ and
was baptized into the fellowship of the Freedom Baptist Church by the Rev.
Thomas Miller, who was pastor at that time, remaining a true, earnest and
faithful Christian until called home to her eternal rest. Precious in the
sight of the Lord is the death of the saints. The children were all
permitted to be by the bedside of their mother during her last illness,
except Mrs. FULLERTON. She leaves three sons, two daughters and twenty-four
grandchildren, with a large circle of ardent friends to mourn her departure
from them, but they sorrow not as those who have no hope.

Funeral services were held in the Baptist Church in Grand River, Feb. 3, at
2 o'clock, p.m., the services being conducted by the Rev. F. Edwards, of
Osceola, the basis of the subject being taken from Rev. 14:13. The
attendance was large and the sympathy deep and pungent. After services at
the church the remains were taken to the Young Cemetery and laid to rest on
the family lot to await the Resurrection call at the last day.

-- F.
Edwards.
