MILTON MONROE, a farmer, aged 55 years, died at 6 o'clock Sunday morning,
October 19, 1913, of pulmonary tuberculosis at the home of his
brother-in-law, DAVID HARRISON on North Washington Street, Columbus, Indiana
Mr. MONROE was an Odd Fellow, and the organization took part in the
funeral services, which were conducted at the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday
afternoon. Burial in Garland Brook Cemetery.

Mr. MONROE was born near South Bethany, Indiana, and lived there until 1879,
when he went to Franklin County, Kentucky. After living there two years he
returned to Indiana. In 1884 he removed to Pratt County, Illinois, and
later lived in Decatur County, Iowa. He returned to Columbus to make his
home with his sister and brother-in-law last Christmas. He was a member of
the M.E. Church at South Bethany, and of the I.O.O.F. Lodge at Leon, Iowa.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. MALINDA MONROE, of this city; his sister,
Mrs. DAVID HARRISON, by a brother, JOHN MONROE, at Bedford, and by another
brother, GIBSON, living in Illinois.
