Obituary -

(The Mirror Mercer, Missouri "Reflecting Mercer County" September 7, 1993)

"BUZZ" JENNINGS (Mercer) ... William J. "Buzz" Jennings, son of James Carlton and Samantha Jane [Dooley] Jennings, was born in the State of Kansas on March 7, 1904, and died on August 30, 1993, at the Kirksville Osteopathic Medical Center in Kirksville at the age of 89 years.

Buzz was a retired farm laborer, living most of his adult life in Mercer. For the past year, he has resided at the Mercer County boarding Home in Princeton.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charlie Earl, Charles Edward, and Henry Jennings; and by three sisters, Alma, Bertha, and Naoma. Buzz is survived by his brother, Elija Jennings; of Leon, IA; seven sisters, Effie McReynolds, of Yakima, WA, Rhoda Baker, of Davenport, IA, Mary Jennings, Ruth Volkert, and Viola Stewart, all of Allerton, IA, Rosa Dykes, of Waterloo, IA, and Margie Parcel, of Moravia, IA; and by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Thursday, September 3, 1993, at 1:00 P.M. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville, IA, with Rev. Max Carmichael officiating under the direction of the Greenlee-Middleton Funeral Service of Lineville.
