RAY, GUNTER, GAMMON, BLACK

WM. RAY was born at Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, June 15, 1859, and died at his home
six miles south of Leon, Sept. 26, 1913. His death came rather suddenly
from paralysis. He moved with his parents to Decatur County in 1866. He
was married to GERTIE MAY GUNTER, Oct. 22, 1896, at Trenton, Mo. He was the
fifth child of HARVEY and ELIZABETH RAY. All his brothers and sisters were
present at the funeral; GEO. W. RAY, of Blythedale, Mo.; JOSEPH RAY, of
Shenandoah, Iowa; JOHN RAY, of Leon; Mrs. EUGENE GAMMON of Leon; and Mrs.
IDA BLACK, of Kansas City, Mo.

The funeral services were conducted at the chapel of the Christian Church in
Leon by Wm. J. Campbell, of Davis City. The body was interred in the Leon
Cemetery. Mr. RAY was a good citizen, neighbor, and friend, and will be
greatly missed by his friends and neighbors.

I take this opportunity of expressing my thanks to my kind friends and
neighbors who assisted me so kindly during the sickness and death of my
husband. Also to express my gratitude to those who sang at the funeral
