POLLY ANN EVANS was born in Decatur County, Iowa, December 22, 1860, and
departed this life August 24, 1913, age 52 years, 8 months and 2 days. She
was married October 26, 1882 to JOHN S. HINDS and on April 1, 1899 to JOHN F
BRUNY, who with four children, EVERETT ERNEST HINDS; Mrs. ANNA ELLA HARTMAN
HATTIE BELL HINDS; and ORVAL LESTER HINDS, survive her. She also leaves
three brothers and a host of friends to mourn their loss. She was
apparently in perfect health until August 19, when she was operated upon for
a removal of a cancer, at the Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, from which
operation she never rallied. She was a loyal friend, a devoted wife and
loving mother.

Rev. Hufstader of the Plymouth Congregational Church conducted the funeral
services at the home, 1314 West Locust Street, August 27, after which her
body was laid in a receiving vault in Woodland Cemetery to await further
burial. The floral offerings were many and beautiful, which showed with
what high esteem Mrs. BRUNY was held.
